What happens if ETERNA shuts down?
- Retrieve NFT reference via another RPC/explorer or saved manifest ID.
- Fetch snapshot/media through alternative gateways; verify hashes.
- Open reader/local copy.
Reading can survive, but adding new content needs owner/legacy update authority. This service-only design must be resolved before launch.
Hashes prove bytes, not truth. Arweave/Solana still depend on networks. No absolute everlasting guarantee.
Current export: HTML opens offline with text/embedded photos. No payments or NFT proof. External linked webpages are not copied.

Guardians provide additional copies and checked service. Rewards are funded for measured service, not passive yield.

The server shows your exact ETER amount before payment. Mainnet creation uses real ETER; a separate devnet practice flow provides free test tokens. Additional memory services are planned. Solana payment fees are separate.
The service rate uses a sampled market median. New quotes pause if the rate is stale, liquidity is low or the price moves sharply.

- You never pay EP — you earn it. Everything is paid in ETER; EP is the score your archive receives for it.

The market sets the price on the Raydium ETER / SOL pool. The pool is small and early, so expect volatility. App prices are stated in ETER, not USD.
Can I buy it now?
Yes — swap SOL for ETER on the Raydium ETER / SOL pool. There is no in-app buy action; verify the official mint address on the token page first.
Where does a payment go?
Working policy: quoted publication/processing costs are paid first, then a disclosed operator fee/reserve is covered and the remainder funds a separate Guardian budget. Automatic burn is 0% for launch/pilot. Exact amounts depend on live cost quotes, not fixed fractions. See Guardian funding design.
Are my memories on-chain today?
Identity creation publishes a Solana NFT and a public manifest with your selected portrait and text. Demo memories stay in your browser; adding further memories on mainnet is still in development.
What exactly gets stored on-chain?
When an archive is published: Solana holds a soulbound identity NFT owned by your wallet plus the signed payment records — nothing else. Your name, story and photos live in a versioned manifest on Arweave that the NFT points to, with a SHA-256 receipt for every file. Eternal Power is recomputed from the signed contributions in that manifest, never from a number we cache. Nothing marked private ever enters the public manifest. Your offline download already follows the same structure — open its README to see it.
Does holding ETER earn money?
No. There is no promised return, staking, or passive EP generation.
What if ETERNA disappears?
Planned storage (Arweave) and blockchain references allow recovery. You can download a standalone offline copy today; independent recovery from the blockchain is still planned.
